Real Ideas are excited to be offering the opportunity to help us by inspiring a wave of activity designed to diversify the creative landscape in Cornwall. Our team is responsible for delivering the Innovation and Inclusion strand of phase 2 of the Cultivator business support programme in Cornwall.

As part of this, we will be running a series of events for local businesses. We are looking for prospective
panellist/keynote speakers who can inspire and inform creative sector businesses around the creative case for diversity. We will be running a series of events (both virtual and physical) over the next two years. As a feature of these events, we will be seeking to feature inspiring individuals who can bring personal experience and expertise to a variety of innovation and inclusion agendas and help create and support positive change in relation. We are able to offer paid panellist/keynote speaker opportunities to the right individuals over the lifetime of the contract. We will be covering areas such as:

• The business benefits of a diverse workforce
• Diversifying your recruitment processes/work experience offers
• How to diversify your audience/customer base
• Diversifying your governance structures
• Innovating to make your offer more accessible and inclusive
• Employing digital solutions to support innovation and inclusion

If you feel you could inspire and engage an audience of creative business owners or leaders in one or more of these areas; you have a story that can inspire the advancement of the diversity agenda, or you have ideas/input that helps generate practical change and positive outcomes in the creative sector in relation to inclusion and diversity, please submit a brief expression of interest highlighting the areas you feel you could speak to (max 500 words) and a CV along with an idea of your costs (excluding expenses) for:

• A 20-minute panellist/keynote plus Q&A as part of a webinar/webcast
And
• A 45-minute panellist/keynote plus Q&A as part of a physical event in Cornwall

This is an open call, however, we have a Cultivator event on 10th September ‘Creative Community Capital – How creative businesses and communities can support each other to succeed’ and an event on 8th October with a focus on diversifying governance structures. If you feel you can contribute to the sessions on these particular topics, please do get in touch.
