Native Creatives is a termly series of free, twilight sessions programmed by Jen Langeskov, Education Programme Manager of Festival Bridge, in collaboration with Susan Coles, Arts, Creativity & Educational Consultant. Native Creatives serves as a reminder for educators to nurture their practice and passion for the arts, in order to benefit their personal creativity and professional knowledge.

Delivered online, past sessions have included discussions led by notable academic speakers, along with workshops and presentations from artists and educators on a vast range of topical issues. Our sessions offer a space to learn, share and discover alternative experiences.

Native Creatives allows teachers and educators to explore their personal and professional practice; remembering that they are not only educators, but creatives too.

The theme for the Spring 2022 programme is Sharing Conversations with Artists and Arts & Cultural Organisations: Listen, Learn and Build Sustainable Partner Relationships for Personal and Professional Creativity.

Sessions will take place from 5-6pm across two weeks in March, on the 7th, 8th, 9th and the 14th 15th, and 16th. These sessions will include:

All sessions offer an informal Q&A to enable you, the audience, to engage and connect with the expert guest speakers. Whether you are a teacher of creative arts, a primary art lead, a freelance artist educator or a geography teacher who plays the bassoon… Everyone is welcome!
