The National Film & Television School (NFTS) along with Channel 4’s 4Skills have devised a series of free taster days aimed at those under-represented in the film and television industry to give an overview and suggested pathway to a broad range of careers.
There are many roles available in the industry, some you may know, some you may not have considered previously. Each taster day will take a look at one particular area and give you a flavour of what the role entails, what skills are needed, who you work with on a production and how you might begin a career in that field.
The sessions are taking place at eight different locations across the UK with venues in Leeds, Manchester, Cardiff, Belfast, Birmingham, Newcastle, Bristol and Glasgow. Each day will be delivered by an NFTS tutor who is an experienced professional, and for part of the day they will be joined by a local industry practitioner, working in that field!
