Thursday 24th February
Tiny Tales – 10am
Bring your little ones to the immersive dome this Half Term to experience a series of short immersive tales – perfect for children under 6 years old.
Each day in Half Term we are showing a selection of our favourite children’s short films. Take a trip through the stars with Astronaut George, explore rivers with a baby tilapia and learn how to be less afraid with a brother-sister duo from In the Land of Flabby Shnook.

Bring your family and little ones along for a creative session with oodles of fun!
Make a Monster (Ocean Studios) – 10am & 12pm
Come along to this half-term fused glass taster session and
have some monster fun! Let your imagination run riot! Will your glass monster be cute or terrifying? It’s entirely up to you!
Moths Interactive Dome Experience – 11am
Come along to colour your very own moth and set it free to fly around you inside the Immersive Dome at Market Hall.
This experience is open to everyone, all colouring sheets and pencils are provided. Join us to experience something incredible and learn about the vital role moths play in our eco-system!
Out of This World – 2pm
Immersive films that are quite literally out of this world! We invite you to travel through space experiencing CGA (computer generated animation) content as well as filmed documentary style film. Perfect for those interested in space or for those just looking to take a trip to the stars.
Running time: 33 minutes
Moths Interactive Dome Experience and Storytelling – 3pm (story at 3:45pm)
Come along to colour your very own moth and set it free to fly around you inside the Immersive Dome at Market Hall.
This experience is open to everyone, all colouring sheets and pencils are provided. Join us to experience something incredible and learn about the vital role moths play in our eco-system!
This session also includes a live storytelling experience at 3:45. We’ll be reading “The Moth’s Whisper”, which tells the story of Marny, a newly emerged Yellow Underwing moth as she looks for the moon and discovers the world of humans.
Legend of the Enchanted Reef – 4:30pm
Meet Shorty the reef fish and his crew of energetic friends! After a trawl devastates their reef, the three friends have no choice but to set out on an adventurous journey to find a new home. This humorous film for the whole family raises awareness for the acute need for marine conservation.

Sea Monsters – 4:30pm
Travel back in time to when dinosaurs roamed the seas and meet Dolly – a curious and adventurous dolichorhynchops – as she travels through the most dangerous oceans in history. Along the way, she encounters long-necked plesiosaurs, giant turtles, enormous fish, fierce sharks, and the most dangerous sea monsters of all, the mosasaur.
