Part-time Studio Admin Assistant

The position will involve working with Rebecca, assisting with admin-related duties required when running a productive creative business. As a Potter she primarily makes functional ceramic ware for retail, restaurants, galleries and direct sale.

Duties may include:

  • Photography
  • Updating the website
  • Writing newsletter and website posts
  • PR
  • Managing social media
  • Packaging pottery
  • Accounts
  • Invoice and communication

This role does not include any pottery making

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge and appreciation of craft, art and design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Photography and styling skills
  • Fluent with social media
  • Be able to take direction well and pay attention to detail
  • Be practical, creative and willing to learn more

Ideal Candidate:

  • Passionate interest in craftmanship, art and design
  • Great photography and styling skills
  • Strong communication and confident with social media
  • Able to research and write
  • May have experience of updating websites and/or a willingness to learn how to do so
  • Organised, methodical and pay attention to detail

Above all they are versatile and happy to switch from packaging to accounts to styling to writing – as the situation requires.


Training will be given in all aspects of the duties required.


You will be paid £100 day rate for your work (inclusive)

About me:

I am a self-employed potter who regularly works on projects for high-end restaurants, retail and galleries. I also teach pottery to adults and children.

I’m interested in craftsmanship and good design in general. I aim to make items as well as possible as I believe that beautiful functional items improve everyday life.
