Meet the team

Georgia O’Carolan Marketing and Programme Coordinator

Georgia joined the marketing team in 2021 as Marketing and Real Spaces Leader; her role is sponsored by The Rank foundation, through the Time to Shine internship.

Georgia graduated from the University of Plymouth’s Fine Art and Art History programme in 2015 and completed her MRes in Art History in 2016, after that she joined the University’s central marketing team as a graduate intern.

From there, she took her creative skills and passion for great content over to the Faculty of Science and Engineering before heading to the Canadian Rockies for two years.

After a brief stint as a mountain top barista, Georgia was lucky enough to work for two commercial art galleries in Banff (Canada House Gallery, Carter-Ryan Gallery), aligning her passion for creativity, supporting arts and education through vibrant marketing, and being immersed in a truly wild place.

“After returning to the UK in March 2020 I did what I do best, which is run trails, get muddy and see how far my feet can carry me. In 2020 I raised over £1000 for Miles For Refugees running 64 miles solo from Newquay to Porthcurno, this year I have my eye on some similar challenges, but for now I’m just thrilled to be on a new journey with Real Ideas.”
