Sarah Waller Consultant

Sarah has been involved in creative education, and the arts for over 20 years, as a dance practitioner, Advanced Skills Teacher, an Advisory Teacher for Dance and Creativity and as a Consultant to the DfE.

Sarah worked with Lindsey Hall on the Creative Partnership contracts in Cornwall and Plymouth, pioneering some of the now-legendary programmes such as ‘The Road to the Beach’ and ‘Cultural Architects.’

With this experience, Sarah was Co-Director of Dance Republic2, a Landscape dance company based in Cornwall, developing the Propeller training programme for young dancers with the National Youth Dance Company and delivering large scale participatory programmes with Museums, English Heritage and The National Trust, on beaches and amazing outdoor spaces.

Sarah specialises in providing practical support and consultancy for a wide range of organisations across the south west including cultural, creative and local authorities, embedding Arts Awards in to new opportunities for young people. This includes working with Real Ideas and partners to develop participation within the Illuminate Festival in Plymouth.

Outside of Real Ideas, Sarah is a Governor at her children’s Primary school, is a mum to twins and loves spending time with Betty, the family’s fantastic Cockapoo.
